Three murders hours apart

Alex police are investigating three murders which occurred hours apart in two separate incidents on 26 December.

Police spokesperson Captain Allie Kodisang said the bodies of the first two male victims, said to be Zimbabwean nationals, were found in Extension 7 at 11.30pm. The victims died as a result of multiple injuries. The police also found stones soaked in blood, tyres soaked in petrol, broken bottles and a small bag next to the bodies. One of the bodies was partially undressed and bystanders allegedly refused to give witness accounts.

The police found the body of the third male victim, identified as Nhlanhla Twala of 9th Avenue, at the Alex Clinic at 2am. He was allegedly shot and killed by wanted suspects.
