Based on the club’s official website, www.sufc.co.za, the club hopes the new app will woo a lot more fans to the club, and it has already received almost 100 000 hits since its inception.

The app puts a whole range of information and features about Matsatsantsa into the hands of fans like never before. Its purpose is to combine the content that fans want – anytime, anywhere.

The news section keeps fans up-to-date with the latest happenings from SuperSport United, enhanced with imagery and videos taken directly from the official social media links of the team. The app makes joining in the conversation easier than ever, with seamless social interaction through Facebook and Twitter.

The app was developed by YouFoot, an innovative tool for football that can be used by clubs, leagues and the media.

YouFoot is changing the way football data is generated and has helped propel SuperSport United into the future with the introduction of a first-ever mobile application, and a fresh website to host the data and statistics content YouFoot provides, said club CEO Stan Matthews.

“It was clear from the start that our fan base would benefit enormously from all the features offered in an app,” he said.

“The mobile app includes club news, match reports, play-by-play, league tables, fixtures, and push notifications to keep fans informed, in real time, of everything the app offers.

“There are lots of useful links to the club social media links and website with YouTube footage of our Matsatsantsa show, all the info a fan would need while they are out and about.”
